Frequently asked questions

Common vaccine-schedule questions. Your veterinarian makes the final decision.

When do puppy vaccines start?

Core vaccines generally begin at 6–8 weeks, with two or three doses 3–4 weeks apart until around 16 weeks. Rabies vaccination begins from 12 weeks. Your veterinarian sets the exact program.

When are kitten vaccines given?

The FVRCP series generally starts at 8–9 weeks with a second dose 3–4 weeks later. Rabies begins from 12 weeks, while FeLV depends on risk. Adult boosters are commonly repeated annually.

Is rabies vaccination mandatory?

Yes. Rabies vaccination is legally required for cats and dogs in Türkiye. Your veterinarian will set the appropriate schedule.

What happens if I stop the vaccine series?

A lasting immune response may not develop until the series is complete. If the gap becomes too long, the series may need to restart. Timely reminders matter.

Does Petly make vaccination decisions?

No. Petly reads the card, reminds you of dates, and provides general information. Only a veterinarian decides which vaccines to give and when; these tables are examples.
