How to serve
Wash thoroughly (residues can sit on the surface), remove the green tops, and halve or quarter depending on your dog's size. One or two strawberries for small dogs and three or four for large dogs is a sensible portion. Frozen pieces make a cooling summer treat.
Strawberry jam, strawberry milk or ice cream, and syrupy desserts are not suitable: they add sugar and dairy, and some products contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
