What to know
Most adult cats digest lactose poorly; cheese has less than milk but enough to upset sensitive cats. Salt matters fast in a small body — brined white cheeses and other salty types are unsuitable. If you must share, make it a tiny piece of plain, low-salt cheese once in a while.
Do not give blue cheeses to cats either. Garlic-herb cheeses, cheesy snacks, and melted pizza cheese are not cat food — salt, fat, and additives all argue against them.
