How to serve
Peel completely, remove the white pith and any seeds, and cut the segments smaller. One or two segments for small breeds and three or four for large dogs is plenty. Oranges contain vitamin C, but dogs make their own — so an orange is a juicy treat, not a supplement.
The peel is hard to digest and its oils can cause nausea; large pieces risk a blockage. Orange juice is concentrated sugar, so skip it. Because of the sugar, avoid oranges for overweight or diabetic dogs.
